Augmented Reality for Animators - Design Concept - WWU ID + Logitech

This past winter WWU Industrial Design students worked with Logitech on the project "Convergence for Creators 2030" Augmented Animator By Daniel Jones, Brendan Mudd, and Carson Porter-Keese How will animators create content 10 years in the future? The AR design system is intended to create an improved workflow for animators.  Allowing the user  capability to work within inspiring environments, work in three-dimensions, and improve ergonomics. Bringing dynamic and physical assets into animation production.

About this design set by Keaton LoCicero: The hugging relationship between the planar aluminum and volumetric wood creates an additional surface to store books, magazines, or a drink.  The contrasting CMF consists of a matte black exterior powder coat and a polished metal interior that reflects the warmth of the wood as well as the interior the set lives in; creating the feeling of more space.  The cantilevered design has been refined using FEA simulations and through rough practical prototyping.  Aluminum series : 6061 T-651  Thickness: .375in Seat deflection : 1.5in for
